Real long run time. I'd put my money on CPDN ![]() Bingo. Every climate project seems to be "strange". Least to me. ![]() ![]() |

Never mind the projects... the Climate is strange. ![]() ![]() Nice to see you around here. ![]() ![]() It is a 1 * Down Jacket day here. A high of 27F compared to the -30's last week. I was able to avoid a week or so of the cold, but was caught in Tropical downpours and high 80's. Talk of mildew .. lol |

Hello everyone. I have updated the existing stat boxes for everyone. They now correctly point to our new website. It also looks like the problem with the stats being wrong is fixed. So, you should be able to use yours in your signature now. I do want to check and make sure I have one for everyone that's active with us. I think there might be one or two missing. If you don't have the link to yours, holler and I'll get it for you.

So I've been doing some thinking about generating power. I've been going to the gym a lot recently and I've been thinking that instead of spinning away human power (on a stationary bike) against resistence, what if we attached it to a generator and used the body to produce electricity. The research looks to confirm that someone in rather poor shape could produce about 100 kilowatts in about an hour. I suppose that could run a laptop for a few hours. I'm wondering if it is at all cost-effective to run one of these machines to run my laptop. Also, if that's the case for me, why not run all exercise bikes with generators. We could produce some serious power if fifty or sixty bikes were charging a battery!
