We are aggressively investigating this issue now. We can confirm that when you see the following:

ERROR] Failed to open either source or destination files while copying ../../projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/R00005_92258514c5131c66184265d1c1a66f4f_19_6_0 to wcg_checkpoint_00.ckp. Error: 24

In the log file, it has overwritten the previous contents of the result file. As a result the structures returned to the server is a subset of the structures predicted.

We are investigating the issue now.

I took the Rice project off of all my crunchers because of all the errors I was getting. I know that several changes have been made since the original release but I was still getting errors so I opted out of the project completely.

Version 6.12 and 6.13 had errors and were fixed. If you had errors in version 6.14 we would kind of like to know what they were and your system OS, BOINC version and memory available.

I know that several changes have been made since the original release but I was still getting errors so I opted out of the project
What if others getting errors on the other project you went to also opted out because of their errors? You would get more errors over there.

We have found the issue. We will be conducting a beta test shortly. This change will fix all remaining issues that include items such as:

couldn't open best1.pdb for appending!

in the log files.

Based on what we have seen so far since releasing 6.14, and with this fix, Rice will now be the application with the lowest error rate of all of our projects.

angry Enough with the large font strings in the pasted info! It blows the screen width / word wrap functions (strings are not wrapped) for the whole displayed page. I personally don't appreciate having to horizontal-scroll to read posts.

To forum admin:

You're used to phpBB, which automatically puts the quoted name into the quote. This MVNForum is similar, but a bit different in that respect. Some forum release updates are contemplated in the future, but I do not know what will be changed.

It is interesting to see how only the seeds after the write error are counted, yet the full 8 hour crunching claim seems to be included
in the pool to divi out the credit, leading to some substantial hand outs. What ensures that the claims are in fact correct / reasonable
within in this logic? On the below the first 14 claim 1414, yet the credit hand out is 1620.

Hello all rice crunchers,

Just saw the result of my latest rice workunit and I was surprised about the huge amount of granted credit:
R00006_ b250bd2b9ad5ea51757d4ef02b9854c1_ 23_ 1-- claim: 62.9 granted: 176.4
I run this project on a single core AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.8 G Hz, OS: Ubuntu 7.10 Boinc 5.10.45.

To give a small impression:
HPF: avg credit: 9.1 / hour
DDDT: avg credit: 8.2 / hour
FAAH: avg credit: 5.3 / hour
before: NRW: avg credit: 9.1 / hour
Above: NRW: avg credit: 22.1 / hour

Did I really earned this credit or was it a mistake?
