Re: The Initial Technical Questions Thread

The results only show the last x workunits. They will go away eventually.
They may get partial or full credit depending on the cause of the error. (Sometimes the techs feel generous if it is a program problem.)

It is possible that you have already got the credits if these WUs have failed in the early days of the project. When the techs announced that WUs failing for reasons like the "exceed file size limit" would receive granted credits they also said that the credits would be added directly to your user total but they would not be visible in the WUs in error in the Results pages.

Cheers. Jean.

2 of of these failed recently with DLL ERRORS 6.14, as I had a lot waiting to run. Maybe they have been granted, but maybe not. I guess I will never know the answer.

Re: The Initial Technical Questions Thread

I have seen the granted points all over the place. The techs claimed that 6.15 has settled down, but are looking for other issues.

Looking at the date/time that your task was assigned, it most likely was running version 6.13. The announcement for the release of version 6.14 was around 12 hours after your task was assigned judging by the date in this message:
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=20313

Version 6.13 had some problems, one of them causing the low granted points.

Re: The Initial Technical Questions Thread

Hello huimar,
Version 6.14 got rid of the bug that would eliminate all the old structure results stored in the work file and start writing in the new results from the beginning. So when the results were returned after 8 hours, there would be only a few structures awarded points. This is what seems to have happened in this case.

Re: The Initial Technical Questions Thread

Versions are changed only when a problem is found. 6.15 seems to be fairly clean so far.
