Re: Badges... Who's got badges

sthg is wrong...i have the 12 results, each run for 8h, that equals to 96h of work...and still no badge...

btw, 16h of work (after 2nd valid job done) i got on 06/08/2008 11:16:56!

so what is the problem?

I may be wrong and be misreading you but I have the feeling that you read "14 hours" as the condition for a badge while it is actually "14 days", i.e. 336 hours. smile
p.s. I don't have the HPF1 project badge, nor the HDC project badge!
I don't have them either, and we will never have them, simply because we both joined WCG after these projects were finished. smile

Cheers. Jean.

OK, I'll wait a little longer...14days equals to about valid 42results! that is until next week...

and how much time is needed for HDC or HPF1 badge? 'cause i did crunch both projects...as i can see, I didn't cruch enough for the badge...
maybe the UD agent points don't calc for the badge?

cheers
Luka

Re: Badges... Who's got badges

Hello KLiK,
If you look in Member News at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=17862#146158 you will find:
Members will now be awarded a 'badge' when they have contributed 14 days of CPU time to a project. These badges will appear next to the member's name in the forums, on the member compare, member information, and My Grid pages.

The requirements for African Climate @ Home badges were reduced because it was unreasonable to expect anyone to get 14 days of work units.

Re: Badges... Who's got badges

The scammer's way of getting a NRW (or any) badge on the cheap is to drag the old P-III laptop down from the attic & put it on line ... devilish
Name - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Claimed/Granted
R00038_ 0ad15f4c08e17ed5ccefbd8e75a2ea50_ 00_ 008_ 9-- 41.6 / 37.3
R00037_ c4c4b379a9223ad24f5453040394299c_ 01_ 002_ 5-- 41.5 / 42.2
... etc ...
My 42 Rice WUs did include some more worthy contributions, tho:
R00017_ af009553651ab68f64687c97fde3c0c4_ 14_ 13-- 196.5 / 269.4

BTW, Techs: One of the other crunchers on the 2nd WU above had an outlier on claimed/granted:
R00037_ c4c4b379a9223ad24f5453040394299c_ 01_ 002_ 9-- Valid 07/02/2008 23:39:47 07/03/2008 16:38:32 8.00 69.3 / 208.7
Other crunchers' claims for the WU look normal. As Sekerob says (below), maybe the CPU here was throttled back (or distracted by other system activity) while it was running its last BOINC CPU benchmarks, on which our machines base their claims for points.
