Re: .

Thanks again Joe.
I have seen that glasstree something like six trillion times on Internet, but details behind it was unclear. So nice to read hold story through.

Some local classware.
Well, itsy bitsy and teeny. Or something.

Then some pumpkin soup. It was actually so dence that was more like sausage for something. Did cause some challenges (I sure have big problems on my life) because it was absolutely full of sugar and last taste hounting on my palate was that sourer echo of bitsy (on first pic).
But chef sure did know what (s)he was doing, and did cover soup with coat milk foam and fried seeds, which did work as joyfully bridge to another taste horizon.
I think it was something like four spoon tip, and I was just wolfing that pumpkin soup like these no tomorrow. It was just so very nice pumpkin soup.

Then some fish, most unsurprising trout. But there was some very nice twist about on it, chef did present it on cranberry souse, which is quite much conflict as on my tastehorizon as much as sour wine <-> sweet pumpkin soup on square one.
Once again (s)he was real wizard, there was totally (almost too much) fried fish on top and some poteitoes mince under it.
Do not know how it did work, but once again, it just was some very delicious. Instead of having total conflict, it was rainbow.

Well, then some cheese ( I know it does not make sense, I often do not) as dessert:

Ou poi blushing

Re: .

I don't know much about the drinks you had, but I have had pumpkin soup and liked it. I like fish of all kinds, but don't think I have ever tried any with cranberry sauce. It sounds good and I may have to try some like that.
Cheers

Re: .

Some another kind of lunch.

Well, first course was kind of standard.
Place sure was nice and everything, but just did feel for some more dionysian stuff.
Was really not mood for easy listing piano music and stories about some student gal's exercise program. Another chap who did feel necessary to share his life with me, was some male stewardess.
So, I just cannot wear this watch any more. So back to IWC Ingeneur (which looks like found from cracker box) or something.

So did bolder to place, which is know more like Eastern Europe meny:

Ou poi, then the food come. Think they use hold hippopotamus, but sure there is enough of those on ocean..

Apropå: I never stop wearing that watch biggrin

Re: .

That food looks good, but it also looks fancy and pricey. I am more of the plain Jane kind of eater. Nothing fancy, but just make sure there is enough so I don't go away hungry.

More snow today. Currently we have about 8 to 10 inches(20 to 25 cm) of wet, heavy snow and it is still snowing. The temperature is around 32F(0C) and the roads are snow packed and icy. I am sure I will see some in the ditch tonight. Bad night for travel.
Cheers

Re: .

Actually long story, think it started 2008 or something.
Well price of that stake was 20€ and you can notice how empty restaurant is. Even they actually give a way free food, they still cannot get really any clients.
That bottle of sparkling 15€ (so restaurant literally will pay me to drink it) and so very much empty room, I practically did have own restaurant today also.

So on 2008 economy of this glacier did sink hard&fast. There was one total truth that did join every political party on this country. Saving money is s*t*ns work.
Here is pic from government adds (Texts: piggy bank is demonic reason for depression / do not feed depression by saving money)

It did work because Finns where counted as high credit debtors (AAA), so everybody did get a lot loan and interest where so very down and everything.
I would say that last two years (before current stalling) this society did run only because internal consumption which was made possible by debt.
Unfortunately economy did not recover during those two years and there is no single soul on this edge of ice that would not admit that we are on uncontrolled movement. Credit losses are now on all time high, even higher than on last big depression here on 1990's when kekkoslovakia went finally down. 1990's dive was deeper than during WWII, so this end of land is having something equal to WWI or 1930's right now.

Me as personal experience everything seems to be so very different on this time.
Last time when plane hit ground, I did found consolation from philosophers like Schopenhauer etc.
Now when I did need to found that one magic mantra, I was reiterate words "There are no desperate situations, there are only desperate people." silently on my mind again and again.
Dude who wrote those words were panzer general who roll Poland and France on close history.

It is so very different kind of personal experience for myself this time. So very different.

Re: .

Told ya.

On today's FT there is article which is quite identical with my writing, some highlights:

The Nordic country is fighting with deep structural issues unrelated to either the global financial or eurozone crises.
brings up unfavourable comparisons with its dramatic financial crisis in the 1990s when the collapse of the Soviet Union, a big trading partner, caused a sharp recession.
€œIn many ways it is more serious than the crisis we had in the 1990s.

I just found this all very comfy.
I mean that when you just spend less than earn, eat fibers and go bed earlier. You actually have some very nice life.
Also like very much this new very quiet Helsinki. It is honestly beautiful city between these peaks of this-time-everything-is-diffrent-economy.

Think there is couple of very quite decades for Finland. Know for sure that luv it a lut love struck

Sun is shining and weather is so warm+26'C (+79'F). Think leave office early today.

Re: .

Some more food stuf.

It is not okay to eat handfuls of piri pires.
It is quite strong pepper ( piri piri 175 000 shu / Tabasco 5000 shu) and friend of mine did gave me nice bag of his own harvest.

I have manage to keep my self out of chilies for a while, so just count that not getting canker sore or anything.
But it just went out of hands, I eat them like candies and now half of palate is very much unable to handle any solid food. Second day in row.

Even egg salad causes pain which is serious real pain, not like chili-chili-pain, more like eating razor-wire kind of pain.

Dangit angry
