I think they will be thinking "What can we do to get rid of Phelps!"

Without him, it would have been a lot closer.

The guy is amazing. By the time he is finished, they reckon he will swum (taking into account warm ups and downs, heats, semis and finals) 60kms (about 37 miles)!

When Spitz did his 7 golds and World records, there was not as many races making this even more amazing (especially for someone who used to swim competitively)

My one laptop, which is "old", is pretty much on the fritz.. turn it on.. it turns itself off.. I havent' done anything to it.. :(

Not that it matters.. but once or twice a week I could submit 3 or 4 wu's and about 100 hours of run time.. crying

Is this when plugged in, on battery (assuming that you have a charged battery) or both ? I have seen an issue before where a dodgy power supply has caused a laptop to continually shutdown as a precaution.

Also, check your power management setting in the control panel (assuming you're using XP, 2k, or 98). Make sure power management says "never" in the system standby column.

Actually, depending on the processing power of the unit, it might be more expensive to run than its worth. That is certainly true of desktop P4s, but laptop p4s might be more energy efficient. What is the ghz rating of the machine?

not really sure.. i'm at work.. right now it's ghz is 0.. confused
it's old, so most likely I think it's a really old p3..
i'm just wishfully thinking that I could add more computing power..

sigh..
