Dr. Mike, you set now on your Java issue? Sounds like it at least works with Firefox. How about IE? It works very well with Firefox. However, it does not work with IE. :( Dr. Mike..  Let me see if I can find a solution. Besides: FF > IE  --- RAM came early. *is holding them* Please don't be DOA. Please don't be DOA. Please don't be DOA. Please don't be DOA. Please don't be DOA. They work :) Still need to stress test and run a full memtest. But they do seem fine. I leave on the 19th. |

Blizzie, you sorted out yet what you want to do on backups? Not really. Probably just the 5 GB on my FTP server for now. Don't have the money. I posted earlier what I wanted though. Yea, with a decent net connection, using that space gets you the backups you want and off-site too (I'm presuming the FTP server is staying home). Your sister can always take care of the machine at home too. The budget may be tight but it beats graduating with enough debt to eat up 3-4 years of income alone. Yea, you can work if you need more money but it's not always worth it. The FTP is in Texas. :P It's a server. Ah a server/machine that's not one of yours. Should have enough space there. What you really need a backup of is your critical data. The off-site aspect could be nice too. Still, some of the external disk options let you boot from the backup on the disk. That could let you recover fast from a disk crash. Just don't go banging that laptop around. |

Dr. Mike, go to www.java.com and click on the download button. If you have the current version of Java, it will tell you, otherwise, it lets you download it free. If it says you have the latest version, then the problem is in IE and not Java.
