Well, we're at 71,700,058 with 29 days left in the year. That means 8,299,942 more to make 80 million or 286,205 per day. Like I said, it's a stretch but not out of reach by any means. I'm happy no matter where we end up for the year. We've royally blown last year's tally out of the water. I would not have expected that (and didn't) back in the early part of the year. If our BC friends choose to join us again as we close out this year, I'll most happily welcome them back around the fire (and keg of course, actually kegs - that gang has to have some Viking blood in their ancestry
---------------------------------------- ) and that even goes for reprobates too! When it comes to crunching, we don't get snooty. It's the more the merrier! On a cold winter's day, it's hard to beat gathering at the MOT "pub" around the fire (well, the heat coming off our fans), warming our bones and relishing a good pint! Yea, I know. We have our share cruising the beaches in their jams enjoying the "scenery" too but that's how it is when you "go global"! |

Quite the day we had today! Great work everyone! Lucie is rapidly ratcheting it up here. It will be all too soon I'll feel the gust as she blows by me. mlafferty sure has been cranking since their return! Vincent, hope your first semester ends up well for you. You've already done in one year what it took me four! Salut!! As for RT, it's hard to imagine 20K WUs under your belt. I'm barely a third of that. Then we have our quiet ones like Bon Kuhlman that keep chugging away at it milestone after milestone. |

As for parmesian, either he had a cruncher's version of the Great Escape from the PV jail today or he has something new happening? Either way, what a day! Wow! Nothing quite so impressive as the Great Escape. A couple of my machines lost their internet connection for about a week. fortunately i knew that was a possibility when i set them up and set the Additional Work Buffer to the max (10 days). The machines stayed working the whole time (they are only used for work other than wcg about four hours a week) and when the connection was reestablished they had a little bit of work to report. i hope it doesn't happen again (i like the slow and steady pace) but it sure looks impressive when it does. Happy belated birthday to my OLD pal Dave! Well, if it gets our "Chief Lurker" posting in here, then may your net connection drop more often! |
