We don't get them here, but the occasional Tromba [Water Spout], anyone in the Gulf Coast vicinity though... Isaac has formally gone hurricane strength:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-19403905 http://www.clarionledger.com/viewart/20120827...ppi-Coast-strike-jeopardy 5 day Projection show it to be able to drill through all the way to the Great Lakes region, at considerable residual strength. Hope for your guys it breaks any blockage fronts more to the western half of the USA so rain will come along (but that will be just the fringe lining of interest this moment for the Southern Staters). Stay Save. |

5 day Projection show it to be able to drill through all the way to the Great Lakes region We can only hope it brings rain. Doubtful if it will make it this far north though 45.5N. Cheers

It will be interesting what weather change this will bring for the winter this year in the northern hemisphere. ![]() |

Anyone who says global warming doesn't exist is in for a rude awakening sooner than later. As much as I hate the bitter winters, time to have a few -50s winters. Doubtful though. I stepped up my climate prediction crunching in hopes those scientific folks in denial realize they were wrong when shown the predictions. Doesn't look good so far.
Crunching for humanity since 2007!

Nice cooling here, but projected to continue over 26C through September 15. 2 good bashes of rain we had... good for the vineyards. The grapes are looking subdued, in fact, one field seen on Sunday had not even made it half way the support poles... no sorry those were late planted fagiolini: (This farmer thought: Hey while it's still warm, lets turn a bad season into some good to compensate) Crunch on |

The Brits are going to get it the coming years full on the beak are the meteorologists predictions. The Rosby waves have elongated and the jetstream shifted because of... noone fully understands but the 11 million km square of Arctic sea ice presently missing as well as the many millions km of snow cover gone early on the Northern Hemisphere are serious Albedo changing. Lots more vapor to go around, but coming down more concentrated. Get your wellies out... the ones that are hip high. ENSO El Ninô state was officially considered to have kicked in on August 27. That will dominate global weather for the next 6-9 months, lest we'd get back to back El Ninô's like there were several strong La Nina's that kept us cool-er [the faster warming] in check for a few years.
It's been plunging down here, torrential, [persistent low circling central Italy)... but, It's waning now and the 26C prediction was upped to 28C. ![]() Have a nice weather day. |

Nice to see your weather has moderated and you finally got some rain. Still dry as the proverbial bone here. Cooler at night, under 50F(10C)but still was upper 80'sF(30+C) during the day although cooler air is coming. Rain continues to bypass us.
