Re: Buzzin man

Still more sun and still more laziness that stops me doing real work in the garden. I can't watch cricket on the box but I shall be tempted on F1 tomorrow in the tax haven.
Is anyone involved in a Street Party?

The Welsh Italian

I had a chap of Italian heritage on my shift when I was at work .
His family Came from the Naples area and owned the Bulk of the tomato Canning in the district . His name was David Sorrenteno His branch of the family had for some reason emigrated to north Wales ???

Dave & I on A large Man-draulic valve back when I had black Hair

Dave had a nick name which cant quite recall
"The Italian ...... err.. no what was it ? something to do with horses ? dunno suffice to say he was a hit with the local ladies

Thinking about this Why's and wherefores
After the war we had a lot of Italian POW's who often happily worked on the land and in 45 had met local girls and stayed on

A local farm near me in Kent had them working alongside the normal land girls and older farm workers no Guards!.

David the welsh patron saint
Anglicize version from Dafydd, Dewi, Dewey

So Dad would have had to been satisfied with the surname
His wife slipped in the welsh forename .

Re: Buzzin man

Yes Ivan, we have one in Myton on the 3rd of June where we hope to be entertained by some uni-cycling children who juggle as they ride!
Village also just purchased a new seat to celebrate. I doubt if I will be here for the next Diamond Jubilee, so might as well enjoy this one!
