Re: Buzzin man

Morning all.
Naples, that brings back a load of memories. I was there in 1956 aboard HMS Ocean (Not the modern one). and Pompei was one of the many visits we made, Capri another. Gracie Fields home I remember, had a swimming pool in the shape of a grand piano. Sophia Loren of course came from Naples, was it really 56 years ago?

Re: Buzzin man

And are you really only 70 now?

I did a day trip when on a Rome and Naples holiday by train from the Hook of Holland; much more interesting than whizzing there in the sky.

Re: Buzzin man

It depends what scale Ted is working to ?
and he might well have converted to Metric .
Thinking aloud isn't there some rule about a sea dogs age'
1 year equivalent to 7 ?

Multiply by two take away the number you first thought of

Tell abig enough Fib and its believed devilish

Re: Buzzin man

Evening old'uns biggrin devilish

A little poetry for you.........

My Rememberer

My forgetter's getting better
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke

For when I'm 'here' I'm wondering
If I really should be 'there'
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Often times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain
A zero, is my score.
At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say "Hi" and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, "who was that?"

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.

Send this to everyone you know because I don't remember who sent it to me!

Old Sage wink

Re: Buzzin man

Good Morning!
Weather is fine south of Naples - as opposed to how it was yesterday:
We were soaked and it was cold. Today's program takes us up and down the coast here to see the views.
And GM - did you really go to Vico Equense? To that restaurant? The one named 'Pizza a metro'?
If so, it's not the only time we have made this a small world ....
I did. Mine was square approximately. Two sets of toppings. To round it off, a shot of
Limoncella - the local tangy lemon liquor

If I remember rightly, it was from a stall down by the docks..... cool

Re: Buzzin man

- which Vico Equense is not biggrin
Good Morning!
Sun is out, Vesuvio is in a haze, soon you'll see a sirena on her way up to that crater.
Yesterday we saw the Sirena Islands where Odysseus had to tie his crew to the mast to prevent
them from steering right into the rocks.
Lots of mermaid things going on here ....
Later on today, we'll tour Herculanum which our local guide assured us while we toured Pompeji
is more impressive than Pompeji - smaller but better.
