Thanks for the tea! My lungs sound horrible, but the fever finally broke. Looks like my flu shot didn't quite work this year.
Sleeping a lot, so I'll babble more when I'm awake. Crunchers are ON. |

----------------------------------------I used an absolutely wrong word. So sorry. Please forgive me. Meant to say you seem to have livened up. Conferred intensively with dictionary and think having used "perky" would have been better. But think I'll stick with livened up Coffee was cold. Have brewed some fresh. Columbia/Kenya mix. We're not sticklers for linguistic accuracy in here. The coffee sounds lovely.
For me, especially with a 7 hour time shift, it was west to east. Coming back, I can simply stay up later, crash, and be back on local time in a day or two. But worst of all on the eastward trek was going to daylight savings time here, being on it for a week, going there and having 2 days on local time, then having to tack on ANOTHER daylight savings time change and trying to reset a body that was already struggling to reset. Argh!!!    |

You don't have to be. You know what you're doing  First dictionary made me run for good life to erase, edit and what have you. Second dictionary was far more laid-back with that word, BTW. Some consistency would be nice. I also find the Eastward leg the worse by far, and - you had a couple of timezones added for good measure - not to mention your flu Soon, I hope, good memories from your trip will blur out yor discomfort. English is a terrible language!
I've been working with my Persians and it made me very aware that we have verb tenses that don't exist in other languages, very little consistency in pronunciation or spelling, and enough dialects between the UK, US, and Australian/New Zealand users to confuse ourselves, much less the hapless foreigners.  |
