Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

Conrad Viedt "sings";
Where the lighthouse shines across the bay,
There's a cottage kissed by fume and spray,

Cheerful logs to warm the winter day are blazing.
List'ning to the breakers on the shore,

From a tiny cottage thatched with straw,
Stands a fair-haired lassie at the door star gazing.

Watching the dark clouds, dreading the gale,
Counting the days since her lover set sail.

Where the lighthouse shines across the bay,
Seagulls on the shore have heard her say:

"Come home, my love, come home, dear love, come home."

Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

Everybody has a story. This Conrad Viedt certainly has.
- and now I can easily hear why I'm taken for a German when I speak, because Mr. Viedt's accents is just so ... well, not typically German, but still ...
Thank you for posting this, densnap.

Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

Sport and I are quoting a VERY, VERY old sitcom that ran when we were teeny, tiny children. "I Love Lucy" starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz as...well, themselves! How they wished they were, I suspect.

Re: SeriousCrunchers Attempting Re-Entry

I know "I Love Lucy".
Not bad at all.
Actually quite good. Guess it would hold up in its own way.
Only thing: I was not quite as little ...
