If the WU detail on the Result Status page shows only 2 copies ending in _0 or _1, then these are originals. If _2 and up, they are repairs also recognized by their shorter deadline. Great Grand Children get though the same deadline treatment as repairs... 4 days to complete and report.

The 4 parents I just got end in _2, and one of the children I just got ends in _3. Otherwise everything I have is original iteration work units.

Heh - I'd be interested to see whether we get any further projects using this run-time limited-model.
----------------------------------------Take CMD2_ 2247-1BOB_A.clustersOccur-3D0G_A.clustersOccur_25_101633_102001_101999_102001_0 For instance. This is a GRANDCHILD unit (which took a whole 33 seconds to run) The PARENT unit would have been CMD2_2247-1BOB_A.clustersOccur-3D0G_A.clustersOccur_25_x (x is 0 or 1 for the two 'replications' that are compared in the validation phase) When the parent terminated by hitting the 6-hr or 12-hr soft runtime limit ("the wall") CHILD unit pair(s) were created. CMD2_2247-1BOB_A.clustersOccur-3D0G_A.clustersOccur_25_101633_102001_x - the presence of the two extra numbers (the start and end position numbers to be crunched) shows that it is a CHILD unit. This in turn terminated by hitting a wall, and the grandchild pair CMD2_ 2247-1BOB_A.clustersOccur-3D0G_A.clustersOccur_25_101633_102001_101999_102001_x was created - 3 positions to be crunched, 101999 to 102001 inclusive. I believe that it would have been more informative for crunchers to remove the 'clustersoccur' part of the name, which appears to be noise, and to include the start and end positions at the parent level. Hindsight as usual is crystal clear... Still, supply seems to have dried up. We've entered home port, and all that's left to do appears to be to swab down the decks ready for the next little voyage. Not sure where batch 2397 got to. I'm looking suspiciously at the ship's cat... [Didn't see Buggs's addendum re finding the naming scheme, hence long-winded attempt. Thought that a 3-position WU was a little unusual, though - so I left it in...] [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mysteron347 at Feb 13, 2012 3:59:29 PM] |

Ok, this probably isn't the proper forum for this, but I have a question. Since I wanna do another 1/2 day on this project to get my bronze badge (counting what's already PV), where can I find a list of roughly "projected" endings for current projects? I probably just don't know how to search forums very effectively.

Good luck in obtaining your Bronze for this project - I really do hope you get it as it's extremely frustrating to know that (if it happens), you're so near yet so far from getting a badge for a project you've contributed to. As to other, nearly completed projects (as indicated from the link Dataman provided), HFCC & HCC are the next two projects you seriously need to focus on if you haven't got a badge for either of them (or indeed, if you wish to upgrade your current badge to the next level). ![]() |

@gb: If you look to the left, you can see I have badges for both HCC and HFCC. I think I'm gonna work solely on HCC to see if I can get my emerald badge for that, even though I'm closer to getting my ruby in HFCC. The time per work unit for HCC seems to be very consistent, as opposed to those for HFCC. It could still be quite close for either, but I think due to the varying times for work units for HFCC, my best chance is to go solely HCC and I'm thinking I'll be able to get the emerald.

@Bugg
----------------------------------------be careful with the HCC prediction because it hasn't changed for at least 2 weeks. I read somewhere that this value won't move until someone from the project announce officialy the end of this project. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 13, 2012 5:56:06 PM] |

I just need 5 CPU days.
