Floppin' Terra's have continued here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28320 and are now for a 21 day mean of 385 TFL with a same 21 day average of a validating result being returned every 0.196 second i.e. 5 per second, 300 per minute, 18,000 per hour, > 432,000 a day (433,494 exact)

An excerpt from a post to some of my team.

According to www.top500.org for the month of June, the WCG would rank number 14 IN THE WORLD for peak performance in front of Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany @ 308.28 TFLOPS and just behind Moscow State University - Research Computing Center in Russia @ 414.42 TFLOPS.

The mean would put WCG in 13th place above Moscow State University @ 350.10 TFLOPS and falling just a bit short of DOE/NNSA/LLNL (I have no idea) in the USA @ 415.70 TFLOPS

Currently, positions 8-12 are held by supercomputers in the 400-500 TFLOP range. I would love to see a collective group put the WCG in the top 10 range of supercomputers.

This thread is superseded. Plz see link to Building the 400 Teraflop Machine thread in my post 2 up. We are currently well in the 400-500 sustained range, so much so that we're not far off from starting a new one to go on to the 500 range.
