This is a bug. If you refresh the page, the runtime appears.
I will report it for you. |

Hi Jean Pierre, I remember you from conversations on the UD forum. I stuck with it until the end in the hope that things would get better. Alas it wasn't to be. Using BOINC and crunching for WCG is very smooth, and with lots of projects going at the same time it helps in spreading the risk of a project being down or out of work for some reason. Far better than being served up repeat helpings of the same work units to keep us entertained.
Didactylos thanks for reporting the bug although the runtime doesn't appear after a refresh for me. I did find that when choosing a WIGET if you select TEAM NAME the runtime shows in the preview, if I then change it to GLOBAL STATS the runtime suddenly appears in the preview. But alas not when it is used on a web page. I must stress I'm not an expert at any of this. just trying to get the word out. Any ideas on the E-mail Sig ? Hi Thomas, Re You should watch this: http://www.thoughtware.tv/videos/watch/3130-S...s-Accelerating-Innovation That sure is some computer, Is it more 'Parallel Computing' than 'Mass Distributed Computing' though. Are they running BOINC or are they associated with WCG or one of the other projects in some way ? |

Dear Monocle, excuse me. Maybe it was wrong by me posting this URL in this forum. The Jaguar supercomputer aren't as I know related to WCG. I don't know about they are using BOINC as a platform or not. I posted it because I personally felt it inspiring while watching it.

Hi Nick-MMX Member growth has been strong, particularly since HFCC/FLU/HCMD2 launches. The cumulative monthly numbers since October 2008: F 08/10/31 410446 Z 08/11/30 414506 W 08/12/31 421972 S 09/01/31 427242 S 09/02/28 430735 T 09/03/31 436371 D 09/04/30 442002 Z 09/05/31 450087 Z 09/06/23 460048 < almost 10,000 new entries! The problem isn't with attracting new members, but in keeping the ones we already have interested. Sad that so many newbies chase credits from projects with so few scientific/humanitarian credentials. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Sid2 at Jul 17, 2009 5:23:52 PM] |

Regardless of all the wisdoms shared on member retention and how, WCG succeeded to keep 42.3% of whoever / whenever connected a BOINC client to WCG. The Wider BOINC community sat yesterday on 18.9%. More surprising is that of the active members, over 31% contributed to WCG on July 16. Pretty awesome to me.

Active members are defined by BOINCstats as members who returned a result in the last month.
I prefer to trust an actual calculation, rather than a guess. We have the data - we don't have to guess. |
