You should be able to see the granted credit in the results table. We do this both for members to see what we did as well as it allows us to 'mark' results that have had credit granted. RT - Your 120 hours workunit was actually a different problem. There have been 1-2 workunits a week that behave as that one did. We are looking into that problem also. I have granted credit for that issue as well. Thanks KNR. ![]() It was not that big of deal...just hate that the time was wasted. ![]() It still looks like there's issues with at least some of the WUs not yet being credited. Hopefully they'll continue trickle in over the next few days. I agree that it wasn't that big a deal... and I wouldn't have minded at all if they errored off in minutes instead of hours. - D Well darn, looks like this isn't going to happen. Knreed says here that they can't grant credit for any errors that have aged out of the database.... if you look at the CEP stats and take a SWAG at how long results typically stay in the database, this is probably several thousand WUs. ![]() - D Darn indeed! A point to keep in mind in the future though. Given a similar problem with their typical reponse, it probably won't be an issue. Still, capturing the data from your Results Status when it happens and being able to provide that may help. I wonder if they can't grant credit because the data is not in the database to allow them to determine what credit to grant or they can't grant any credit because the WU is not in the database to assign the credit to? On the latter case, with the data from your Results Status, could they determine what you should be granted and granted that to some other WU you processed? (Last post about this problem ... I promise ![]() I was able to go through the logs on 2 of my systems and find the CEP WUs that had errored off and were no longer in my Results Status. I put the names in the CEP forum, just in case something could be done. After knreed's post, I didn't bother to look on the 3rd system. As it turns out, all of my error results had aged out of the database. I don't know if they might have been able to do something if I had captured the claimed credit, but I did not. All together, I lost about 100 hours worth, give or take. But things are mostly back on track now ... except one of my systems is acting up. Could be the heat. - D |

DM will be pleased, I've moved my pcs back to YOYO@HOME. I should see double my points return on the CPU side.

how long do the units take to process at yoyo? Dr. Mike Mike, there are 4 different projects at YoYo. Muon has many different size wu that run from 15 minutes to 8 or so hours. Across all projects none of then run more than 8-10 hours. Once in awhile you get an evo wu that runs long and will run 150% or so of it's percentage of completion. @Jonathan: Way to go with yoyo!! @GPU Peeps: GPUGrid's scheduler is hosed. ![]() ![]() |

Dr. Mike.. ![]() They go idle. ![]() ![]() ![]() Since GPUGrid is down and I only have one card with work, I turned on CPU and GPU at AQUA with the quad with two GTX260's. It immediately grabed 4 cores for one wu and both GPU's and put everything else in waiting to run. The frame refresh was so slow it was taking over a second to change screens and the 260 is my fastest card. The wu's come in at 1 hour estimate so BOINC was loading 5 at a time. In reality they will take 80 hours on a fast card. I also put one on the slow 8500GT and the estimated time was 800+ hours and increasing when I blew it away. It seems all they want is everything you have. They appear to be the corporate raiders of the DC world. I'm not keen on their tactics. Needless to say I detached and blew away all the wu's. This sure has been a bad week for crunching in the DC world. Every project I've crunched this week has had problems except YoYo and I am expecting it to melt down at any moment. ![]() ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Dataman at Jul 9, 2009 7:52:23 PM] |
