Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 40 smilesmile

Jonathan, do you see any difference in your 860 vs. his 920? Just curious here. Not sure i'm looking at the same things.

Dr. Mike..

The 920 will out perform the 860 when crunching. When gaming in single video card, the 860 will be better. But when gaming in SLI/Crossfire, the 920 is better (given the proper motherboard) since the P55 chipset is limited in PCI-E bandwidth.

I am thinking the 860 should out-crunch the 920 if they are not over-clocked. The 920 has a clock speed of 2.66Ghz while the 860 has a clock speed of 2.8Ghz. Of course clock speed is not everthing. Actually it is quite complicated. All kinds of caching, memory speeds and to a small extend disk speed.

Heh, not sure then. I was comparing them at the same clock speed.

Thanks. Wish I could say it is better, but the sore is getting larger.
Today, the Doctors took a scrape for a culture (imagine that - me
associated with culture) and sent me for blood tests and x-rays.
