Re: may be away for a while

L, my daughter-in-law, is going through the exact same thing. L had a biopsy and her initial diagnosis came while she was in the hospital for pre-eclampsia. About 2 weeks after an emergency C-section, L had her thyroid removed.

She is going to have to undergo iodine radiation therapy... which means she has to stay entirely away from her newborn and 6-year-old for 7-14 days, stay at least 6 feet away from my son, double flush, and wash all sheets, towels, clothing, etc. immediately after using.

Anyway, I was telling my oncologist about L, and she said that if one has to have cancer, thyroid cancer is the best kind to have. She said not only is it rare to have a fatality from it, she personally has never known anyone to die from thyroid cancer.

Don't worry. At the worst, you'll be inconvenienced, but honestly, you will be fine. So hope for the best and cope with the rest.

Re: may be away for a while

you dont normaly die from Thyroid cancer but thyroid cancer can spread to other parts of the body that you can die from.

personaly i dont want any form of cancer.

no real updates was told my thyroid measures about 2.1 in by 2 in by 1.8 in is a solid mass and the fine needle biopsy said it was falicular cells (unable to determin if its cancerious or just pre cancerious

Re: may be away for a while

Though positive or negative thinking does not make difference to the outcome, so extended research found, being positive will do not harm... and having a mind set to ignore pain if any is part of the cure.

Go knock them on their head, them darn cells, nasher.
