Good to see you getting better. Interesting about the loss of taste. I've heard that taste is as much in the nose as the tongue. As for the ringing, hasn't someone utilized the concept of noise cancelling to "treat" that?

according to the ENT specialist there is actualy a small section of taste sensors in each ear as well and its something like a 1/100 shot that it will be damaged doing that surgery.
----------------------------------------to be honest it is such a small amount of the tongue that it is not very noticeable except when eating something with alot of flavor or spice or such then i get the feeling of a numb rubber like strip in the tongue. not sure about noise canceling but being the rinnging in the ears isnt really a constant noise or level (in my case i can take my pulse now by hearing it.. it also comes and goes right now i am guessing i am hearing it about 50% of the time  |

yes i am doing very well right now.. my next big one is the Radioactive Iodine on the 3rd of May so i have shifted to a low Iodine diet (pain in the ....)

well finally got the results of the first full biopsy of the thyroid areas they found cancer in after a long discussion with the dr i managed to get a copy of the report...
----------------------------------------follicular carcinoma minimally invasive (7.1 cm) and 6mm papillary carcinoma w/ adjacent 2-3mm papillary carcinoma another section 6mm papillary carcinoma and right parathyroid lymph node with thyroid carcinoma 8mm (encapsulated in thyroid ) > in English parathyroid gland was also found in the thyroid they removed with an 8mm piece of thyroid carcinoma in the surrounding thyroid tissue so it sounds like i had 2 different types of thyroid cancer and they managed to get all of it they think. joy oh joy... well probably going to change or add to the radioactive iodine treatment they are planning next for me |

well off to the hospital for uptake dose one (pre treatment) i will be back this afternoon and tomorrow i go for uptake dose two and come back again
----------------------------------------on Wednesday or Thursday I will be getting my treatment dose of radiation and will probaly not be able to be online for a day or two. thank you all for your support and wishes |
