Nasher, that's a hard thing to hear. I know, I've heard it said to me for a different kind of cancer when I was 23 yrs old. They took out the parts and 22 yrs later I am still kickin :D You will be, too!!

You're right nasher - you're gonna be fine. I'm sure you've been online and read through all you can find on thyroid cancer. Still, hearing that blasted c-word is an effective way to ruin a decent pair of pants. As good as your docs likely are, don't let yourself forget that they work for you. Anything you don't understand, they can explain however many times it takes until you do. Knowledge is power. However routine it may be for them, this ain't nowhere near routine for you. They may need to be reminded of that.
