There's a matrix in Help [System Requirements] and in the FAQ's [Project Matrix] to latter I will add the DDDT2 in time. Lists out the download and upload sizes, and might consider to add a Mb per crunching hour average, per core of course. None are light on bandwidth. A type is 20mb (for 30-100 hours), C type is 20Mb (for 1-6 hours). That makes the A types in fact light on bandwidth per hour. BTW, the downloads and uploads you see are the uncompressed. BOINC and servers compress dynamically during transmission. The matrix has been updated. B/C Type info will be added once the know how the final production showings are. Still to add the approximate bandwidth use per task hour UL/DL, for those that periodic restrictions, daily, weekly, monthly... 20mb [pre-compression] for an A type and production average of 48 hours so far is not bad I'd opine.

Well, with 1,324 WU's having been returned (as of today's midday stats), does anyone know if there's been enough returned in a single batch so as to send them off to the scientists yet?

One 25 WU group batch A Type makes 50 B type [100 in quorum 2]. Think that may be the reason the designated tech went on a break **, so there is some more than a token result set to generate the Bees from when he returns.

[offtopic] I went on a medical break. Had to get my nose repaired from having it broken last November. I'm not sure why anyone would elect to have a nose job as this was pretty painful and time consuming. The left nasal passage of my nose was completely crushed and more damaged than it appeared from the initial visits. But now I just need to let the swelling go down. [/offtopic] We are checking to see if any batches can be considered complete. This process is a little bit tricky as there has been some work units with errors, so we are seeing if these are what could be holding a batch up from completion. -Uplinger |

One more time on the memory requirements: when the type "C" units start being issued will my older P4's running XP & Linux and having "only" 512 Meg of memory be blocked and not be issued any DDDT2 "C" types. If I want any DDDT2 work units on these machines I will need to add 512 Meg of memory? I only use these 10-15 CPU's intermittantly due to energy costs and only to crunch WCG.

Maybe/maybe not the System Requirements page will get a differentiation similar to the Clean Energy Project specs?
----------------------------------------If you read the beta test forum thread you'll find some reported actual measurements there. Think the limiting factor might be your DL bandwidth (though momentarily I see no restriction for that on only these http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewSearch.do?searchString=bandwidth discussing AC@H). Each task is like with A type, 18/20Mb uncompressed. On faster machines with quad core and higher that can add up when running 24/7
