theoretically if things keep up the way they have been, in 8 or 9 more days i'll have my sapphire badge for rice.. seems like things are going well for that so far..

When that's done, you may want to focus on HFCC next if you want to max badges. Based on Sek's chart, it may be done by Halloween. Yea, DDDT2 will end about a month before that but I'm happy to get any of the badges on it. While I'm about 2/3rds to silver, I'll be lucky to get to that as it looks at this point.

We hit 80F today. I had to throttle back my pentium M system to 90% to keep the temperatures acceptable. But the heat was too much for my pentium D system and it suffered a major failure (looks like a motherboard problem). I'll have to spend some time diagnosing it on Saturday and see if it's worth fixing.

I have another system built from mostly donated parts that could more than take take over for the pentium D if I can get driver issues ironed out -- it's taken months so far. I might just have to put linux on it and see how that works.

Has anyone else seen their HFCC wu's runtime almost double lately? 12-14 hours of runtime each is common now for me. Just wondering?

Mine are running about 5 1/2 hours each.

I set up a ubuntu box on an AMD 3700 and now HFCC wu's are running in about 4 hours. Wow, what a difference an OS can make!
