Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

All subtype PR WUs that I received in this latest shower errored out, too.
STARBASEn posted on this in the new thread DDDT2 Type C -- Possible bad batches .
While I was composing a followup message, brinktastee posted his report here, with a link to it in STARBASEn's thread.

I had 2 different error codes, and WUs on different machines behaved differently. See my report in the other thread.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Will this mark my computers as "unreliable" thus not getting anymore DDDT2 units?.
Or does that only apply to the A work units? So confused... thinking

Don't know if WCG has any differences, but atleast according to the standard BOINC-code, you'll lose the "reliable"-rating each time you report an error...

... But, since it's not a Validation-error, the computer can be "reliable" again, when your daily quota is back up to the max for the computer...

Meaning, you can report 40 errors in a row, and afterwards a single "success", and your computer is reliable again.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

"Reliability" is conditioning only the distribution of type A DDDT2 WUs.
But it can be lost with any kind of WU, whichever type, whichever WCG project.

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

Brink,

I got a few C.pr work units and they errored out quickly. Is this what you are seeing also? None of the other type C's show errors that I've downloaded.

-Uplinger

Hi Uplinger,

I know I'm not Brink, but I have the same "phenomenom" here... All of mine ts06_b0xx_pr's error out in the second, they start... Until now, 5 of them I have here did like this... sad

Seems, that there is something wrong with them... thinking

I will force a few of them to run right now, I will come back in a second...

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

So, another 27 errored out right after the beginning... sad

I guess, you can server abort all these WU's, there is something wrong with them...!!!

Edit: Is there a chance, to get surrogate WU's for all those 32 errored outs...??? biggrin wink

Re: It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!

So were ALL the ts06_pr wus bad? Will the scientists still be able to use the results from the other C types in this batch? Will they be able to fix the prs and reissue? Obviously a lot of questions. Maybe you won't know the answers yet, but I am curious.

I've just tested all my ts06_*_pr* jobs, and they all errored out - same as described by several people already.
