HFCC 30 days left of new work

Help Fight Childhood Cancer has an estimated 30 days left of new work. We would like to thank everyone for their contributions into this project so far and look forward to the push to completion!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Again, Thanks to all the crunchers!

Don't give up. A lot of people are trying to reach some kind of milestone, and once they do, they switch to other projects. I am trying to reach 6 years myself... biggrin

Going for 2 years, and one computer just blew up (catastrophic hard drive failure).
Guess I'll limp along, only 21 days left (hope my other puter is safe!)

Re: HFCC 30 days left of new work

Horrible News, what a blow!! crying

HFCC had an excellent ROI. biggrin It was one of the best scoring projects in term of Runtime and Points at least for me.
We first lost NRW that was also excellent and now we loose HFCC, terrible. And DDDT2 which is only for an elite club of crunchers has not filled the voids. Frankly after all explanations I still find it strange that I do not get one WU since days on any of my machines and others go with thousands of WU's.
Now some blackmailing. biggrin Who knows it may work wink If I do not get WU's in the coming days I will switch all my machines to crunch for calculating the 1'000th zetta-tera-peta-tribillion PI decimal. For sure this will save humanity from all it's illnesses. laughing

Now on a more serious tone, I hope that WCG will continue to support future projects to find treatments for Children Cancer.

Re: HFCC 30 days left of new work

This has probably been my favourite project so far. I guess we all find cancer easy to 'relate to' (i.e. we've all had experience of it one way or another), and also I find molecule/protein docking projects easy to understand, at least on a basic level, more than some of the other projects.

More cancer projects please! Meanwhile, 13 cores crunching HFCC 24x7 until the end.
