Re: Join The International Team

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.
I changed a setting (while overclocking) and my system started
getting unstable.

Just erased most of what I said, here's the short ver.
Still too warm to run at 3.2 ghz so I'm at 3.0 nice and 'cool' in the fifties, and STABLE.

Jack, do you mean 4.0 ghz? wink
Give more V, if temp doesn't go higher than 70C - it's ok! Your watercooling should manage it, I'm pretty sure!

It's my older I7 920 that i'm having probs with cooling,
the 2600K is running sweet.
It's fine for now, as it gets cooler and i grab another can of air to
blow out the radiator it'll be ok.

biggrin Re: Join The International Team

Hello all, long time gone but I am back in the game with a new machine. Winter will allow me to generate more points when I turn the servers back on again.

Re: Join The International Team

Yes indeed, welcome back!
Great to hear you have a new machine. I was planning on upgrading to bulldozer from AMD, but unfortunately as it turns out it seems to be a disappointment CPU architecture at this point from AMD as the first reviews have come available :(

I suppose I'll either wait for Intel Sandy Bridge-E with 4 channel RAM in like a month or I'll wait for Ivy Bridge in Q1 2012, with its Trigate transistors and 22nm manufacturing process. Yes, it sounds right :)

Well crunching on even though I may be somewhat inactive here at the forums temporarily due to workload... Will soon reach 4M points, a great checkpoint for me!

Well well, be well! :)

Re: Join The International Team

Well Team,
We have come back in the challenge to 3rd place.
We have about 9 active members,
number 2 team 700 and no 1 team 2000.
NOT BAD!
Oh and 5 years of DSFL now.
