Re: Join The International Team

Yes Jack, CEP2 is one of the projects which needs support more than any other project right now. I've stoped it on my boxes only for our DSFL challenge now and am planing to continue after the challenge.
I would suggest that we take CEP2 as the next team challenge as soon current DSFL challenge finishes. Most of us do only have light badges in this project and it will be a good time to change it. What do you think, team?

I'm always up for a challenge,
and each team would have the same problem of having to limit the CEP2 to one or two work units at a time. I miss my little single core laptop.
It did close to a year on it's own! We could even make up our own challenge too, the CEP2 ones seem so long (months)

Re: Join The International Team

Jack, on strong systems I don't see a point of doing only 1-2 CEP units at a time.
Before our DSFL challenge has started I was running 8 CEP2 threads on my i7 2600k, which were even more effective than DSFL running now.
Ok, I have a nice fast SSD drive, but with your RAM-drive you wouldn't have any problems at all. I'm sure!
A bigger issue with CEP2 I think are to few checkpoints, if you are not running it 24/7, but it can be solved by using standby mode instead of shutdown.

Re: Join The International Team

Ok, I had some problems with CEP2 I think,
but it may have been a coincedence.
Anyway good news.
I broke 105,000 today,
and our team had best day I can see of 383,523 points!!!
Nice job everyone!
