Re: Join The International Team

Hi Eric_Kaiser,
Thank you!

And I see that little mermaid and Fossaw have also joined the team, woohoo, WELCOME and thank you for joining the trek! :) Let's crunch some WUs!

I have emailed WCG regarding Team Captain position, we'll see if I get a reply soon enough.

My contribution is mainly a 32-thread Threadripper machine as per my sig. Only, because of hot weather I had to clock it down to 3850Mhz.

Let me know your machines if you like :)

Re: Join The International Team

My zoo of machines:
1x i7 3930k - 12 threads
2x i7 980x - 12 threads each (rented servers)
2x AMD Kabini - 4 threads each
2x odroid u3 - 4 threads each
2x odroid xu3 lite - 8 threads each
5x noname android boxes - 4 threads each
3x noname android boxes - 8 threads each

My rented servers are reduced to two. Had 7 i7 980x (12 threads) for nearly a year but it was too expensive in the long run.

Re: Join The International Team

Good morning everyone.
I'm back for a visit with the Base Campers. I know my team hates to see me go since we're in a challenge but I always run away with LM for base camp treks. biggrin

Have a great day. cool

Heja flodisar
I'm a little worried.
Was my post yesterday too much?

Are you OK?

Re: Join The International Team

J'ai bien fait de passer ici ! acpartsman et Eric_Kaiser, ça fait plaisir de vous croiser à nouveau.
----------
I did well to go here! acpartsman and Eric_Kaiser, it's nice to meet you again.

smile

flodisar,

Vous me faîtes rêver avec vos machines, je suis vraiment tout petit à coté. Voila ce que j'ai :
----------
You make me dream with your machines, I'm really small next door. That's what I have:

Saturne : 1 core / 2 threads 1.6GHz, Ram 4G, Windows 7
Prima : 4 cores / 8 theads 3.2GHz, Ram 8G, Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

----------
It's not much (especially compared to you), but in total I send between 6 to 8 days of calculations per day, it's always more for researchers. And I'm already happy to have bought my new PC in February. As we say, it's 'day and night'. And what good is it to be back to Linux.

----------
Regarding the Trek itself, what I did when Base Camp came to support Team Kraland, is to visit the region while showing the difference in results. That we are a small team (I'm one of the biggest crunchers, that's saying), so the difference is obvious!
If that gives you an idea, the Kraland II Trek starts here. It is not a miracle solution, but it made live a little more the forum for a few days.

If it can help you

wink

Re: Join The International Team

Good night everyone,
Sorry for being absent this weekend!

It's so nice to see activity in The International Team again, woohoo! Thanks everyone! <3

I'm OK and crunching on - every WU counts, all those 6-8 CPU days are invaluable stefada - one does what one can and it is infinitely more than doing nothing! ;)

Eric_Kaiser, you have quite the setup of machines, very nice!

Off to bed now. Nightynight team :3

Re: Join The International Team

flodisar, it's OK that your employer wants secrecy and privacy.
However, I would like to know where we Base Campers pitched our tents.
Could you give us a name of your city perhaps?
I don't expect you to give us a tour of your area; you are a busy man
but perhaps I could find a bit to stimulate our imagination ....

If you currently don't have any team affiliation,
you could try to join flodisar's The International Team
- flodisar's because he just applied for taking over the job as captain after J-P.
If you join by June 16 by the latest,
Base Camp will regard you as a Base Camper and deal you this hippo badge biggrin

- can you resist this offer? wink
