Le Base Camp a formé un équipage, avec les SeriousCrunchers ! On triche, on a Lilltle Mermaid comme mascotte. Je vais le dire ici, que même si je reste fidèle à la Team Kraland, participer au forum, c'est déjà un peu participer au Trek. Et puis, on est peut-être plus 'branché informatique'.
Grâce à l'incitation de BaldeD, quand j'ai obtenu le badge rubis SCC, je me suis mis aux WUs de beta test. Et ça y est, j'ai les premières en cours ! Ce qui me fait un objectif, que j'espère réaliser d'ici la fin du mois : - émeraude sida2 - argent TB - bronze beta test Pas sûr d'y arriver, que c'est que des calculs longs, voir rares, mais c'est mon objectif actuel. ---------- I will say it here, that even if I remain faithful to Team Kraland, to participate in the forum, it is already a little to participate in the Trek. And then, we are perhaps more 'connected computer'. Thanks to BaldeD's instigation, when I got the SCC Ruby badge, I went to the beta test WUs. And that's it, I have the first ones in progress! What makes me a goal, which I hope to achieve by the end of the month: - emerald aids2 - silver TB - bronze beta test Not sure to make it happen, that it's only long calculations, to see rare, but that's my current goal.  |

Yes, it is only Linux and I don't have any Linux machines so I will miss this beta round unfortunately. Diamond badges are hard to get, especially if you have been registered less than a year. I joined WCG on April 26th 2007. In that time I have undergone a WCG upgrade path: 1 core / 1 thread -> 3 cores / 3 threads -> 4 cores / 4 threads -> 6 cores / 12 threads -> 16 cores / 32 threads (since October 2017). And still badges take some time, even if Diamond badges now seem within reach (although 50 and 100 year badges still seem out of reach). I am drooling over the new ThreadRipper2 CPUs with 32 cores / 64 threads that should be launched in August this year, but it will be a substantial financial setback of course especially after having upgraded less than a year ago to my current 16 core / 32 thread machine. But for someone who drools over computer hardware and is addicted to crunching WUs, it is a valid dream to have I think :) Team: We are almost at a crunch-rate of 3,000,000 points per day - those are amazing numbers - thank you all for your commitment! Flodisar, now comes the sad part.
The retreat. The goodbye. Already a few Base Campers have returned to their home teams. Some of us are still members of The International Team I haven’t done as much advertising for your team as I would like to have done. In spite of feeling very well for a day last week, the momumental fatigue returned. And brought his brother and sister … I fell asleep from my Downstairs Grethe and her dog Tessa duty last night  You may be able to see it in my posts: Distraction, tardiness, mistakes, typos … If we are lucky, DeliciousShoesHD or Speedy51 will hang in here.  If we are very lucky, both will. In any case I may invite them for future treks of limited duration.  I look forward to seeing your captain’s hat I also hope you will give a thought to my suggestion of a Roman Holiday - or any place else you may fancy – for coolness which I understand you prefer to hot weather, I could think of Dublin Let’s stay in touch here, flodisar.
