Hello team!
----------------------------------------Finally some time to visit the team thread again. Being on "vacation" is really hard work. I've worked on a lot of backlog items so far, such as: washing windows, renewing kitchen cabinets with decorative tree-like plastic film to cover worn down yellowed awfulness (only halfway finished so far), tidying, laundry...you name it. At parents' place. But their 37th Anniversary is coming up on 29th of July so I want things to be nice by then. Little Mermaid: Thanks for all the hippos! :) There really are a lot of forest fires here, and the fire fighters are having a hard time due to lack of airplanes and helicopters :( Weather report shows no real rain for quite a while yet and 32 C on Thursday. It is too hot, too hot. What is the situation like in Denmark? I hope you are doing well everyone! ----------------------------------------I hope that you are all managing to crunch well in this summer heat (in case you actually are experiencing summer heat at the moment)! I had to reduce CPU clocks about 50MHz so that I could lower core voltage to my CPU and still, temperatures are way too high as the ambient temperature in my apartment is 15 degrees Centigrade higher than during winter. Despite all this I today reached rank #1337 which means something (in h4xx0r notation, try this: https://www.google.com/?hl=xx-hacker) if you're into computers, hardware and software development :) Next milestone to reach is 250 000 000 WCG points and it shouldn't be too far away. I almost manage to pump out 200 000 WCG points per day and I need about 1.5 million points so hopefully within 7-8 days I can achieve this. Speedy51 and DeliciousShoesHD, I am happy to see you are here! I'm sorry for not being able to be as active as I hoped to be but I'm trying to be more active and available here.  - and signing up for that challenge is a good Captain move  Base Camp has reinforced SNURK and friends and is firmly focused on winning that THOR race. Base Camp promised to visit you when you had your promotion, and we plan to spend a week or so sometime during October. We have a badge for it already. No hippo this time ... flodisar, Base Camp had planned a trek with you when you became a captain.
No specific time was set - just some time during October. However, Base Camp's strategist NixChix has figured out we might be able to help you above the magical 20 team limit for proceeding to the second THOR race round by joining now. So you have been reinforced by NixChix and little mermaid - in this case as an appendix to my benefactor OldChap  |

----------------------------------------Let's see if thge International Team will be able to achieve this feat now being so much stronger! :) Still, there is only one day left so the question is if there is enough time, but it sure is worth a try. I also finished my second run-a-smartphone-without-battery-for-WCG-crunching project and have thereby connected a Samsung Galaxy S3 into the mix as well. It's Quad-core chip and is just about to return its first four WU results in an hour or so. It's not much, but this challenge is based on runtime so four cores will certainly help some in that regard.
