Re: Join The International Team

Hello team, good morning.

flodisar...by the specs of your main PC I suspect that you are a gamer, though I may be wrong. Anyway, I am getting a new PC after not having one at home in a very long while. I can't wait to add to my crunching. A quick question, Do you leave your main PC on all the time?

I run all my machines 24/7, even my laptop which I have found s long as I keep the vents clear of obstruction the fans don't run wide open. And if I keep a little air flow around it, it's even better.

Y'all have a great day. smile

Re: Join The International Team

Yeah, since my home PC runs 24/7 it behaves like a vacuum cleaner, and unfortunately bagless. biggrin
So I have to clean it at least every month wink

Have a nice day, team!

Re: Join The International Team

I run my computers full time as well. I clean my personal computer everytime I open the case. Since I can't leave anything alone, even if it is working well, that is about once a week. This week it is more due to a failed drive.

Hello well I am not what people usually call a gamer but I do enjoy to play games from time to time. But as a computer nerd I just love to upgrade, tweak and try things out on the pc. Also I had wcg in mind when upgrading. Amd is cheap and I had only money enough for an x3 but luckily I could unlock it to a quad and still apply some overclocking...

Usuallu I have the pc on from 10am to 1am. But often I am at my parent's place and then I don't keep it on.

Btw what kind of pc are you getting and are ypu going to overclock?

Re: Join The International Team

What happened to your planets? Maybe they are going to the new Linux orbit?

Three of them are deorbited due to family reason. They are in my daughter's room, which is normally empty as she lives abroad. But she is with us for a week or so.
Another three are stopped for technical improvement reasons. CPU cooling, I am testing the Zalman CNPS10 Extreme and the Corsair H70 watercooling. Power supply Thermaltake 80 Plus Gold etc...
I will also build a new rig. In the end I should be able to crunch more. biggrin
