Good Morning World (Community Grid)!  I am also glad to see you in here Parmesian and hope I don't have to go through all that again to keep you posting in here Good morning Gerald -- you beat me to it this morning. i don't post enough because i have so little to say (not big on talk) however, your little adventure in the hospital caused me to reflect on our team. those of us who have been here for a long time have seen quite a few people come and go (and some even come back - DA). I realized that this rag-tag group of people i have never met in person and who share absolutely nothing in common (except for our search for cures) have become quite important to me. I have moved twice since we started our journey together and you guys (and gals) have been here for me all along. that is what keeps me crunching. if i am honest the sense of belonging to a group that can get past their differences and be civil and courteous to each other is the main reason i continue. i know it is the reason i joined kiva and have loaned out over $500. The good deeds are important, but without the camaraderie of MOT, i would have lost interest years ago. you regular posters (and super posters) keep the spirit of the group intact and those of us who checkin each day without posting owe you for your dedication. thanks to all of you for being my friends for the past 5+ years. ----- and all you northern hemisphere folks remember this as winter approaches: the best way to heat a room or a whole house is with the crunching of work units. it keeps the cpu's toasty and the room nice and warm. keep on crunchin' In Memory of Dave Bell |

Yesterday's team stats are still hosed. I suppose things will get "fixed" eventually when they run again tonight. Looks like we'll have to hope for this. The team stats did not get corrected today. IF they run correctly tonight, then our stats here will reflect both days combined. |

Seriously, to read a post like this does me a lot of good. While it has been a bit of a struggle on occasion, this is just what I have been striving for as captain. When you strip things down to the bare essentials, this is the true essence of a team. We're here for the same purpose despite a multitude of reasons, widely different beliefs, and just as different backgrounds. Without each other, we have no team. What happens for one could just as easily happen to any. To care for ourselves, we care for each other. Thank you to all of you for being a part of a team that we can all take pride in, even with our faults and occasional failings. Kevin has fixed that stats problem from Saturday. I am re-posting corrected stats for the weekend.

Thank you to all of you for being a part of a team that we can all take pride in, even with our faults and occasional failings. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else--------- I think that speaks for 99.9% of us--this team has been a lifesaver for me in some ways.Its almost like i have a family member all over the world,i know that i have strong opinions some people do not agree with and the ones that are understanding are still here.People have dust-ups but we need to be understanding of diversity--- by the way Good Morning Mot
