Re:

Got my usual problem of reporting insufficient bandwidth since I've been doing nothing but C4CW for ages. How does it get it so wrong (and what can I tweak?).

Same for me. The only machine of mine which tried to get one when they were available was denied for insufficient bandwidth. It's just stupid that you have to manually restart boinc regularly having edited the values to have any chance of betas or CEP2.

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

I lost ~3.5 hours on one. First and only checkpoint was at 6m30s. None for the other ~3h23m30s.

I had to reboot because of an install.

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

I spoke too soon about my Linux one running better.
9% complete, 4 hours Elapsed, 1 hour CPU time

Also, I lost my other Win Beta to the same error as the 1st.

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

I got one on each of two Windows quads. Nothing too unusual happening, however, I checked the properties on this machine here, compared to a CMD2 and an HFCC task. The CEP2 Beta has ~5-1/2 minutes elapsed-CPU time after 4 hours, the CMD2 has ~1 minute elapsed-CPU time after 4 hours, and the HFCC has ~3 minutes elapsed-CPU time after 10 hours 52 minutes. So definitely still an efficiency issue, but nowhere near as bad as on my Ubuntu 10.04 machine (for the 6.19 release), which even with the 1 unit per machine limit is at 2:19 minutes elapsed-CPU after 44 minutes.

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

Odd but my first 2 wu's completed at ~50%. Exited with a return code 0x1 in job 12 and skipped the remaining 3 jobs. They are in PV jail. Apparently this is expected behaviour.

Example:

Result Name: BETA_ E200515_ 728_ A.25.C21H14N2S2.80.0.set1d06_ 0--

<core_client_version>6.10.58</core_client_version>

Re: BETA Clean Energy Project phase 2 version 6.33

All the beta work units are in progress at the moment, only ones that will be picked up are make up work units. If these look good, I may put another 1000 work units (quorum of 2, so 2000) into the feeder. This is if everything looks good over night and someone says please :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Some members may have seen multiple work units per host at the beginning, about the first 300 sent out allowed 2 per host.

As of right now, things are looking ok on my end. But again, it takes longer for more to valid results to come in.

Thanks again for everyone participating in this beta.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

PLEASE, please :) :) :) :) :) :) :) - I'll be about 24 hrs short of a badge.

I was one of the lucky ones - got 2 on a quad, 64-bit Linux, 5GB ram. They ran without any issues in about 6hrs each.
