Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We had another good planning meeting today for revamping the molecular library generator, that Laszlo is spearheading. It’s gonna be built on Roberto’s old engine but will make use of a more generalized and flexible framework.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We had a very interesting talk by Dr José Mendoza-Cortés of CALTEC today titled “High-throughput First Principles In Silico Screening to Predict Optimum Band Gap for Light Capture in Solar Fuel Generation and the Porous Framework Genome Project". Sounds familiar? We are very happy to see that projects like CEP are gaining more and more traction in the community.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Skype meeting with Roberto at Princeton this morning to talk about some old work of his that we want to revive. It concerns the building block sequence of our candidates and whether it can be correlated to their performance.

We are pushing forward with a new fluorination scheme for candidates from our molecular library. Exciting to see what we are gonna find.

Johannes is in Switzerland these days, currently in Lausanne where he was invited to give a talk on the Clean Energy Project at the CECAM workshop on "Structure-property relationships of molecular precursors to organic electronics". Later this week he will give another talk in the Department of Chemistry of the ETH in Zuerich.
