It looks like our most recent paper found a home after a round of positive peer-review reports. Only minor revisions were necessary and the manuscript is now back with the journal.

The general state of health in the CEP team seems to be improving - earlier this week it looked from the outside as if our work was an outright health-hazard to the researchers involved.

It's interesting reading all of the goings on in the lab. How many gigabytes of data do you let accumulate before you issue that compress command so the disks don't get to full?

Johannes is back in town after a successful conference in Germany. He presented our latest CEP results at the Symposium for Theoretical Chemistry in Erlangen.

Hi Speedy51,
we usually fill up Ms Piggy to 90% and then do a cleanup run. It's actually not a compress command, but after postprocessing and analysis we move everything to the archive on the Jabbas. Best wishes Your Harvard CEP team |

BTW: This morning, we got the automatic note that it's time again for some housecleaning.

Hi Speedy51,
that depends a bit on the state of the grid, analysis, and storage array, but we typically go down to 60-70%. Best wishes Your Harvard CEP team |

Hi everybody,
sorry for the recent radio silence - the CEP team is somewhat understaffed these days and when travel or other urgent issues come up, blogging is one of the first thing that has to be halted. We hope to be back to normal now for a while, though. Best wishes, Your Harvard CEP team |
