Re: LunchCrunch Report

Would be rude not to! Just cracked open a Leffe!

I'll join with a Framboise lambic, lightly chilled. smile

Not tried that fruit beer before, have tried a couple before with mixed results. Some turned out rather enjoyable but the peach one didn't appeal at all.

And my final stats for the first year with the update at the end of the 21st were

2:363:08:44:10 -- 3,396,477 -- 4,837

So close to 3 years RT, dang it!

Re: LunchCrunch Report

jonnieb-uk I love how you can pull out a pile of stats to answer questions quickly after crooks_uk asked, and the UK team rankings are as great as usual. Thanks.

I also found my stats for a day recently were lower than expected, but I expect it's due to my pending growing to 10 pages but they are almost all FAHV WUs so not that much time in RT there.

EDIT: I'm now about 2 weeks from getting 2years for FA@H, I'm counting down the days to my first badge.

My experience, and I suspect everyone elses, was a surge in P/Vs whilst machines proved themeselves 'reliable' and thus qualified for quorum 1 WUs. ('reliable' status is by project (& I suspect by sub-project i.r. FAHV).

Re: UK #1 Challenge

Little progress is being made in the challenges for a UK No 1 spot. Indeed, several members have lost ground in the last month

New Beta

There are not many WUs so they will probably go quickly but there is a new beta for SN2S, desktop and android. I've got 5 so far.

On the up side this might mean the project will come back online full time pretty soon.

Re: New Beta

It's good to see that the new SN2S VINA WUs are projected to run ~1hr.

I like small WUs biggrin

Re: New Beta

I've run all the ones I got, and they run for me in the same duration as the FAHV WUs (not too surprising) at about 30 minutes each.

In Other News

I want to post a message in Support - Suggestions/Feedback
Please look at your own email inbox and see if suggestion 1 is valid?

WCG emails are always welcome and it's good to see them being used to communicate important news to members. The latest example being Now your Android smartphone or tablet can help advance humanitarian research!

Two suggestions:
1. Careful thought needs to be given to the composition of the "Subject" line in the email. In the latest one it was "World Community Grid: Now on Android!‏". In a busy (OutLook) inbox this was displayed as "World Community Grid: Now...". Thus the impact of "Android" was lost. Putting "World Community Grid" in the subject line in full wastes important space and duplicates information already contained in the "Sender" details. Abbreviate to "WCG: Now on Android" is much more effective.

2. On behalf of an Active Team which seeks to nurture its' members to maximise their crunching for WCG we would very much appreciate appreciate a "My Team" box with Go to My Team statistics link being added to the standard WCG email format.

Fantastic stats as always. biggrin

Decided to switch the entire fleet to FA@H with the shorter work units. Hoping to make some progress with the results returned metric. Have been concentrating on the much longer CEP-P2 work units of late.
