Although it seems that the cool summers in Salinas, California, are not something to enjoy, I remember my time in Texas makes it really otherwise. The sun room I had installed really gives us some "good" heat by mid morning. And we have no need for any air conditioners. I am still waiting for Sungevity to install the solar panels so we can reduce the electric bill much more.

This heat makes the 365 million point year look less likely Yes it is warm--yesterday 103 temps.--118 indices its been that way all week--the power co raised rates 19% three years ago and this year 8%--they are over charging--we will get a rebate but they will make millions on the interest until the SCC makes them return some of the money-- |

Is it OK with you dkt if we bring our computers and come stay with you for a month or so?
---------------------------------------- That sounds so Nice! Otherwise I think I will just shut down the some of my computers during the hottest part of the day. I did that yesterday. I powered down 16 cores and am thinking about 24 today. That should start showing up in my numbers fairly soon. Good Morning MOT Congratulations to YellowAV. Dang, Greald. That is hot for your part of the world and your electrical supplier sounds .... what is the word I am looking for .... undesirable... No, worse than that. My last electric bill $453.   . Unless we really get a good change in the weather, I suspect that I will get another couple like that. We in Texas enjoy lower electrical rates as we have our own Texas electrical grid. Since it is in Texas only, we avoid the expensive federal rules allowing us to have lower rates and from what I can tell, safer, more reliable power. (Translated, that means that we only have one layer of government screwing things up instead of two like the rest of the country). ... In poking around, it looks like Alaska and Hawaii have their own as well.Everyone have a Great Day today. |
