I understood that 2006 is considered as a novel generation.

Re: what's up old-timers?

Before the deluge
(and I was kind of washed away with it taking refuge in hibernation and seem like a young-un' for it datewise)
- there was UD crunching, and quite a few of us were there
- taking that into considereation Scribe is an oldie and many, many others with him
So, how do we count?
First WCG cruncher - earliest date?

Re: what's up old-timers?

I started my distributed computing hobby with UD in april 2001. I started to crunch here in WCG in December 2005. I consider myself an "old timer" tongue

Re: what's up old-timers?

Bono Vox, to me you are an "old timer", too.
I think I joined the UD in the spring of 2003, so you're much older
- and I see several crunchers here, who were also there when I started
(such as you yourself, altho I don't remember your name).

The My question to halfcard is: Is UD old hat?
- and I should like to know where halfcard is from, also, of course
smile

UD isn't that old. Even my first device installation in 2006 seems to be UD.

What I am getting at, mikaok
- and we need halfcard to answer as it is his thread
is: Would halfcard like to know about old WCG-crunchers or old crunchers in general?
(there were others years ago as well: Folding@home and such).
Nice seeing you're from Finland.
Do you know
Snackbar Finland?
