Re: "The survivors"

Congratulations RC. A short time back, Sept. 9,2011, your team had but 9,055,802 Points and was rated #2,158. You have come a long way in a relatively short time span.

Re: "The survivors"

NAP2614,
A lot of good people have stopped in to help and some have stayed with us.
Like the tortoise--slow and steady wins the race.
We just keep crunching as much as we can.

In addition The survivors will cross another milestone tonight.
Our present Total Run Time (y:d:h:m:s) (Rank) 99:330:13:23:17
Tonight our Total Run Time will reach 100 years.

The primary problem with teams holding their rank is that members lose interest.
I am hoping that will not be a big problem for us.
If we stay interested we will pass a lot more teams.

Re: "The survivors"

Here is a HiJackThis tip that I find very useful.
HiJackThis is now open source and can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/

Before you get infected with malware run a HiJackThis scan and review the items found.
If necessary Google every one that is not easily identified.
Add the safe items to the ignore list.
When you are finished with that the next time you scan you will get "No Suspicious Items Found".
Do this periodically to keep the ignore list up to date.
Later, if you suspect that you are infected with a Virus or Trojan the scan will show just items that do not appear on the ignore list.
This makes it easy to analyze the HiJackThis scan and you won't have to post it online for analysis.

If you decide to download this program from another source please use FileHippo or Trend Micro.
Avoid Download dot com if possible.

Re: "The survivors"

I was reading one of the "Recent Threads" on the chat forum and that guy that fishes from a moving boat showed up.
Every time he posts there is a problem.
You would think that if anyone got the boot it would be him.

Re: "The survivors"

I have been here at WCG for 5 years.
Before that I was at United Devices (UD) from 2001 until they shut down in 2007.
Are there any other UD alumni out there?

Re: "The survivors"

As jan649 mentions many of us Base Campers and many other crunchers were there
- I started in 2003, had a long break and returned -
rose maggilove who is ill with cancer now was there
the Edwardians were there
and many, many more who come here at the WCG Forums more or less frequently.
Did you belong to a team, rcc? rose

Re: "The survivors"

I do not remember being on a team at UD.
The UD LigandFit graphics were much better than WCG graphics.
The statistics for UD were once available but I can't seem to find them now.
