WUs I got yesterday are quiet long, on my i7 3930K processor it take 6 hours each one and on the other, slower computers it takes approximately 8-10 hours

Went past 3000 results returned today. Doesn't seem to be many resends around so I won't make 2years; 300days short, but might reach 2M WCG points.

No, but Statistcs - By Projects - Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2 says that only 20,073 work units were returned yesterday. This looks slim How ever I'm hope full. As of this I haven't had 1 re send. I've set my projects to only get these task until I need more work. Any funded study must have a beginning, a middle, and an end -- and this one had a very nice run of 3 years.
Too bad this wasn't designed to allow the addition of proteins to the original list of 2246 selected waaaaay back in 2009. That would mess up past batch analysis for this study I suppose, but would have been a nice feature to allow Graduate level continuation over the years as other science marches forward. Alternatively, they could increase the selection of cross docks that were checked (2,466,753 were processed out of 5,044,516 permutations, but I'm sure there is solid science behind that pruning). Or select a handful of their most promising proteins for an exhaustive check of cross dock starting positions (without JET optimizing out 85% of the starting positions, just in case, but again, the math behind that pruning is probably solid). ... so the best we can hope for is results which look promising enough to warrant funding of a Phase III. |
