Yes they will be given out to other systems once the unfinshed work units passed the deadline date...

I can state for a fact that there's at least 1 parent, 8 children, and 2 grandchildren, as that's what I have in my PV listing yet. For 2 days already, and some for 5 days now.

To reach my goal of 2 years I need another 8 & a bit days (have accounted for 8 days pv) I can only hope I can get enough work.

How to push for last HCMD2 and not have your client go idle:
1. Set client cache to 1 day [in local prefs] 2. Fill cache with 1 day work of any research [at WCG of course] 3. Switch profile to only fetch HCMD2. 4. Set client cache to 2 days in local prefs [so it will only ask for HCMD2 work] 5. Let it crunch. 6. In 24 hours go back to 1 and repeat cycle till target met. Last 5 days of validated work: 12th 138,137 13th 124,875 14th 97,601 15th 74,266 16th 54,572 This is the tail's end. Dashboard set to token 1 day, as any day it could be over [but expecting to take 6 weeks for trickles to end in the last pairing... unless the project auditor discover more missing parents ;>] --//-- |

Sekerob... I'm curious about steps 1 & 2... why fill up the cache with one day of any WCG project? Why can't it be HCMD2 WUs from the beginning?

It is, dear CjslMan, because else you run the risk of an idle system during the periods that no HCMD2 is in the feeder. Now why would you allow that to happen?

I think it's just to have some WUs for crunching when HCMD2 WUs are not available.

It is, dear CjslMan, because else you run the risk of an idle system during the periods that no HCMD2 is in the feeder. Now why would you allow that to happen? The problem with your limits is that the 1-day-cache != 1 day with work. This was especially obvious now during the run-down with HCMD2-work, there one of my computers at one time claimed it had 12+ days with HCMD2-work per core, for so 24 hours later claimed it had roughly 4 days with HCMD2-work per core...
