Re: Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Phase 2 - 18 days left of new work

Yes, I'm getting "World Community Grid Message from server: No work is available for Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2" since this morning. Last WU received at 10:53:17 (almost 4 hours ago). But since I have enough in PV for my goal, I'm switching off this project. Congratulations to all involved for the near completion of this important project applause I hope it gives us great results!

ENDYMION IV , since grid admins have to share resources fairly across WCG projects, think about that when you crunch more a project that you "dont like", more resources go to the project you like

I think it's easier to crunch on the projects I like. I let a lot of WUs to people liking projects I don't like.

Eventually, there is a balance. But I prefer crunching on projects I feel committed with.

Ah well, I'll leave the project as my one selected one so I can get them when available and hope i can scape together enough for a silver. In the meantime i'll just crunch whatever you send me!

Re: Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Phase 2 - 18 days left of new work

According to my results page, the parents went through 2398. Rather sneaky releasing that one nearly a month between batches. I'm queued up well enough to meet my goal and I'll keep doing this one till it finishes.

Well, I've had a child WU already that was 2459, so that would mean the parents went through that far, at the very least.

We had all assumed the skipped batches stopped at 2397 because they had already released the 2398 parents. As it turned out, they had not released all of the 2398, just a few. It put me in the interesting position of crunching children prior to the parents being released.

Re: Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Phase 2 - 18 days left of new work

@Shrub: Going by how the naming conventions work for this project for WUs, how is it possible to get children or granchildren WU's unless SOMEONE has already done a parent for that batch at some point?

OT: WOOT! Got my bronze for this project. :)

His line was a little 'deep read', but there had already been a set of the 2398 parents released of which his client(s) caught a few... that's why he thought it sneaky [as he thought all had been circulated of that position group].

Mean time per result up for from 2.99 day before, via 3.36 hours yesterday to now 3.99465... to the 5th decimal. ;P

On target for around 361 days. So I'll need another 16 full size tasks. Hope I don't just get 5min tasks.
