Well, this is exciting as this is the first project to end during my time crunching, besides Clean Water, which ended like a day after I joined.

Think so. From the number sets [pairs of 2 7 digit numbers] you can also derive how many positions there are.

1) The previous generation was 3970452_ 3970669 or 218 positions
2) The last generation was 3970578_ 3970669 or 92 positions.

If you and your wing man both compute the 92 [not get cut off at 6 or 12 hours], then there wont be a next generation, else there will be on counting from the lowest number of the 2 completed. So if one only managed 50 [less than 60% e.g.] then there will be a greater greatest grandchild with the set 3970628-3970669. If I remember through the haze, at child level, the number of positions is divvied up. So if the parent only had 218 (child tells us 3970452_ 3970669) positions completed of the original 3968721_ 3970669 = 1949 , then there would have been about 8 children times 2 (quorum). Something like that as I don't remember exactly.

There's about 3 days left, but then there are more GGC's to compute [with shorter deadlines IIRC]. There have been GGGc's and GGGGC's when there was that period of extreme cut-up. It's all fuzzy, and it's not important anymore... we're practically done, the thank you announcement just arrived in my Notices tray of BOINCTasks.
