I wonder what impact C++ AMP will bring to the market. It's relatively new, but seems to be "better" than OpenCL in most aspects. (C99? Really?) 3 years ago, but now witht OpenCl 2.1 that's not true... |

They have far better OpenCl support because they allow it. NVIDIA uses CUDA. Which is currently, better (read: more mature). But thats because its older, and has had millions of dollars thrown into making it better. I do suspect OpenCl will catch up eventually, but currently it has not. I wonder what impact C++ AMP will bring to the market. It's relatively new, but seems to be "better" than OpenCL in most aspects. (C99? Really?) people are still writing ASM, including this year with cutting edge video codecs like AV1... |
