Re: Good morning everyone

Good morning all. Got a few Betas today. Congratulations on the new diamond Thargor

Thanks! biggrin

I've not seen any beta work-units, yet, but I have dropped my cache-duration down from 2 weeks to 1 day, to get ready for a potentially new project, so it's likely working through that before grabbing anything new (beta included).

Re: Good morning everyone

There's a lovely set of badges achieved this week... a Diamond 20, a Diamond 10, and two Diamond 5's. The team has been riding high recently, with over 90 regular contributors, and no one having deserted us for nearly four months. Also, I notice that we'll be in the top 40 for results in a few days' time, and we'll hit 3,500 years of crunching late next week.

Re: Good morning everyone

Good morning all. I've had 14 Betas in total - the first four errored out before running but the rest have validated. Durations are up to 8 hours on my Macs but have been as short as two hours.. Now here's the challenge.... How can I get 140 CPU days of Beta testing to get my Emerald badge?

I'll echo that question, I'm only up to 106 days of Beta Testing work-units!

Re: Good morning everyone

Well, that was a bizarre issue finally sorted out...

I was using AndroBOINC on my old phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) to remote-control my dedicated server, as the client on Mac OS is a little unreliable (at best), but have recently got a new phone (Galaxy S7). It seems, between those versions, Samsung decided to change button-functionality, and a long-press on the "recent apps" button (which would normally open the AndroBOINC menu, to configure/add devices and connect to a remote server) was now just opening recent apps. A lengthy Google-search turned up the answer, finally, in that you now have to long-press the Back button, instead! smile

Good Morning All.

I sympathise Thargor. In the good old days you could say RTFI but nowadays nothing seems to cover all of the complexities of a modern smartphone. By the time you find out how to do something the phone is redundant.

Re: Good morning everyone

Good Morning All. I hope you are having a good weekend. Last night we had some long awaited rain. However much you irrigate a garden, it is no substitute for the real thing. It's good rain too - not too strong that it runs off the land - nice and soft so it soaks in. It should make the Tomatoes and melons nice and fat too!

Re: Good morning everyone

Results rank up one today, and we should be in the top 40 in a week's time.

Well done Team UK. We seem to be accelerating. Perhaps as cooler weather enters the UK it will accelerate even faster.

I have just tried to look at the WCG Team UK stats page Dave and the Overtakes data don't load. Maybe you are tinkering with it at this moment.
