Re: MOT is stronger than ever...

Hi Graham,

sorry for the delay in answering...

I must have made a clumsy step on one of your nerves -- usually it's hard
for me to make someone angry, although at times I'm one sarcastic
a**hole. It's my sense of humor to permanently tease and pull legs... I'm
afraid I pulled the wrong leg (or chose the wrong moment to do so). I
made you angry (without any intent to do so) in public so I will comment in
public as well.

Your graphics are outstanding and among the best that I've ever seen and
I mentioned that before. This team is great, I feel very comfortable here and
I also mentioned that before.

I am, indeed, VERY GREEDY. I love to cram myself with food, I collect
many things and actually find myself hunting for them and I fear I'm
bribable (aren't we all sometimes?). I also want to win (or at least be
among the best) when I play. That's one reason (besides the best support,
second to none) why I am in this WINNER team -- and why I hunt for
points. To be honest, climbing up the ladder pushes me and I might watch
the stats more closely than other folks who don't care for points. I love to
push other people as well and I'm glad that David didn't mind the Brutus
jokes. I hope he didn't mind... At least he added some machines peace

I make a topic of points sometimes (often). I'm not jealous (I'm faster
anyway dancing ) and although I eat anything that has no more than 4 legs
I NEVER MEANT TO EAT UP YOUR PERKS!!! Pork is a different thing and I
wouldn't think twice before grinding my teeth but I'm the last one that
doesn't want to give you proper credit for your work. The "graphics guru"
was no kidding.

In no way did I want to tell you you're not worthy of that banner (which
you even did by yourself and I also proudly carry one of your banners).
I just remembered that one or three users in the past were explained
that the team banners show team points -- even a multi-millionaire was
told so. It was unclear at that time if the "team point rule" was still felt to
be valid -- please note that I used a question in my unwary post. I couldn't
care less since I only did some 5000 points before I found MOT but I felt
this should be handled consistently among all MOT members. Blame my
strong sense of justice. That was the only reason for my post, sorry.

Many words, one bottom line:

Didn't meant to make you mad and I appreciate all your effort for MOT.

Now I look like this: beat up -- please stop before I look like this: skull

Best, Stefan "He won't bite, he's only teasing you"...

Not to stir up trouble or create hard feelings but I have read the same posts by Graham himself instructing new members that they could only use banners that reflected the points they generated for MOT beause it would not be fair to other team mates - see here on latest one to Lanscader.

I guess I see it as a bit self righteous to personaly direct people on how these banners are to be used and then not follow the same guidelines. While I appreciate your efforts Graham I don't think it helps team unity to have different rules for some members - I think it creates hard feelings that could cause some to leave the team. Are all team memers equal or are some more equal than others becomes the perception. If in recognition of your efforts towards the WCG the team agrees that you need special recognition (and I think most team member would) let's give it to you in an obvious and special way and not in a way that could hurt team harmony.

So how about it - can we we come up with a way to honor Graham? Maybe it's time someone comes up with a special graphic for the image wizard?
