So, after UGM started the problems arrived on one machine...described here:
----------------------------------------https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=37365 I did disabled the signature in Preferences, as suggested... After I did finish all the MCM & CEP tasks finished...only CAMB remained for the CPU (Cosmology@home)...Update in Projects window, didn't do any good... So I Reseted the Project...nothing happend, exepct I now have ONLY images in WCG BoincDATA directory... After that I did the REINSTALL, RESTART of Win7, Reset of the Project & Update of the Project...nothing happend, exept: 10/23/2014 9:04:57 AM | World Community Grid | update requested by user Can somebody help? :/ ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KLiK at Oct 23, 2014 7:11:46 AM] |

The 'Not requesting tasks' message is a clue.
Can get more information by adding a line to your cc_config.xml file: <log_flags> . . <sched_ops>1</sched_ops> . . </log_flags> This should give more information on why no tasks are being requested |

I was expecting a reason not just zero times.
If this PC's BOINC is also used for other projects, have you tried suspending all other tasks and then requesting work from WCG. |

What version of agent is klik running? Agent 7 gives a reason, the latest 7.4 even a more expanded description. There's a whole range of descriptions why no work is fetched to include that of if a project is overworked. |

@ca05065
----------------------------------------running Cosmology@home at 25, WCG at 100 & SETI@home only on GPUs (nVIDIA + intel HD)... C@h has got about 15d of work...just put not to get new Tasks! Just suspended the C@h tasks...still fetch work is at 0sec! :/

Ok, so your other thread posted.
----------------------------------------<core_client_version>7.2.47</core_client_version> Your GPU projects could of course reserve cpu cores? App_info and app_config and cc_config are the places where this is messed with. You know best what you put in any of these. Normally, if you suspend all other projects and up the buffer setting some, there'd be a work fetch attempt. Btw, there's only a wcg version of 7.2.47, which is 32 bit, but not relevant as this agent also handles the 64 bit science apps. A 10 day buffer is telling wcg that completed work will -not- return before any deadline.
----------------------------------------fahv/faah 10 days mcm/ugm 7 days cep2 10 days? But your cc_config tells the story <fetch_minimal_work>1</fetch_minimal_work> Why did you activate that option? It gives 1 task, no more as the manual says, that few read: Fetch one job per device (see --fetch_minimal_work). New in 6.11 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 23, 2014 10:01:36 AM] |

There's another useful option, if wcg is not highest priority to fetch work.
----------------------------------------<fetch_on_update>1</fetch_on_update> Irrespective if wcg is not first port of call to buffer up, on hitting wcg > update, there's where work is fetched. Kind of helps those pulling hair or are into deep micromanaging and want to make sure beta's are fetched, if in pipe ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 23, 2014 10:12:53 AM] |
