Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Haven't received any of these yet--how do runtimes compare to the FA, F, S, FW rigs we were used to?

At the moment the runtime is very short.

OET1_ 0003680_ x4FVU_ rig_ 37399_ 0-- CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours): 0.22
OET1_ 0003680_ x4FVU_ rig_ 38068_ 0-- CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours): 0.26
OET1_ 0003680_ x4FVU_ rig_ 37762_ 0-- CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours): 0.25

On Linux

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Yep, the xxFVU units seem to be short, similar to previous FW units.
I'm currently getting #3691. Seems to be progressing faster.

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Over the last 2 days we processed ~30 of the rig batches. That's ~15/day and that was a weekend. But it seems to me that some batches were skipped...

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Now I'm getting #3666, so the batches are sent out of order. No more predictions...

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Now that we have had 'normal' single job tasks to crunch, the 'officious' progress indicator has pulled back to 88%. Let's see how far this goes and meets with the pure numerical predictor, which I have this moment at 68.66%, ~0.6 yrs to go + the 200 [heavies] batches.

(No we don't need daily postings to tell... we all can see the Research page ;P)

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

I've gotten 11:30 (yes, minutes) tasks before, and it's inflated to 11:30 HOURS now for some batches. Is it that the closer we get to the end the longer they get?

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Nope, it's completely wild with OET1, and since the fpops headers in new tasks carry those of recently completed (feedback loop), they're kind of always lacking behind actuals.

The ETOC swung back in extremes, and is now at 59%, which puts the WCG projection pendulum to mid 2017 or so (17.5 month done).

One thing we know... the way the % progress is dis-functioning does not help anyone to crunch targets/objectives... any badge addict has but one option... crunch like there's no tomorrow [exactly what WCG wants us to do ;p].

Seke, can you please correct the pic in 1st post of this topic? thx

+1 to that! wink
simple math from your chart gives me the ECD on the mid Jan 2017...while we know that the BIG crunching comes last, so we might expect a prolonged time to do the calcs...probably spring or mid 2017 - like you said!
