Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Still holding at 3% progress on the Research page, batches gradually climbed than jumping back, went from last seen batch 483, back to 348 and now have 452-454, a days worth of crunching loaded. They're still only doing about 1 hour a piece, down here. FBM (Fine By Me)

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

At last, we're going forward again... batch 486 tasks started arriving. Yesterdays results as mentioned were short, the mean ending up at 0.7 hrs for 577K valid runs and this morning doing 1.15hrs for 185K.

The OET and other Performance Charts have had another change, the minis now showing a the blue leadlines for the current mean task runtime and credit/hr instead of longer term. See http://bit.ly/WCGOET1

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

I see that the both the Research page and Rob's Crunching chart have been scaled back to 1% complete: is it known why there are now 31K batches for this project? (not complaining, just curious biggrin ).

Thanks, CJSL

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

Waiting on a clarifying answer in UGM thread as what you see now is a product of Xcel mathurbation. The 1% and batches done [and we went back from 496 to 349-354] implies this will go on till 2029. Of course not! wink

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

This freeze @ 1% progress on the Research page at 1,132 runtime years computed is buggin' me... that would extrapolate to 113200 years. At present mean speed that would need us ~2500 calendar days... time enough to hunt for that, yet to be released, 1000, 2500 and 5000 year contribution badge shock

(We're now on batch 384, when the highest seen so far was 496, and seippel posted yesterday the techs were holding back the long running OET1_*-OM tasks.)

Why can't tech give you the total number of experiments (as an advisor)? So you will know exactly... ;)

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

I see we have slipped back a little bit in batch numbers again. I currently have 11 tasks from batch 429 process and the rest are from batch 438

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

If the suffix were _2 I could concur, but since nothing was said but receiving a set of 11 of batch 429, could not conclude anything, nothing. So happens though, I'm crunching OET on most all cores at this time and we did kind of skip forward from 428 to 438 and 99.9% are all _0 [reliable hosts]. [BOINCTasks history is there to back this up, and client queues sorted on FIFO basis, 1 day deep ;o].

Re: Outsmart Ebola Together - Crunching Chart

So my Android said in log 'no work available... tasks are committed to other platforms' noting the plural s in platforms. My Linux said so too and my Windows as well, leaving OSX...huh? Fortunately this only lasted 10 minutes, the idling on the zero buffer Linux, and now getting work from batch 440, but still, something was having constipation. confused
