I haven't received any ebola task for long time. I want to contribute to ebola project. When I will receive the tasks for ebola project? Or do I need to wait for GPU ebola tasks? Or do I need to wait for ebola virus in the meantime? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For all the GPU applications I've seen so far, checkpointing is ESSENTIAL. So you'll almost certainly need to wait for checkpointing to be working before you have any hope of a GPU version. In the meantime, you could consider taking classes in CUDA or OpenCL so you could help produce a GPU application. I'm taking such a class already. |

OET1 Beta underway, 30K work units [times 2 maybe if that number was given without the replication factor].

OET1 Beta underway, 30K work units [times 2 maybe if that number was given without the replication factor ]. Not all of them will be quorum=2, as my Linux machine has completed enough successfully that is now getting mostly quorum=1 unless it is the verifying copy in a quorum=2 situation. |

OpenCl can run on Nvidia and ATI. CUDA is Nvidia only.

The Beta units count to your beta badge, not your OET1 badge.

Question for the future: once the OET WUs get released out into the wild (after beta testing), any idea what the priority will be? Low or normal? Thanks.

Not all of them will be quorum=2, as my Linux machine has completed enough successfully that is now getting mostly quorum=1 unless it is the verifying copy in a quorum=2 situation. Rear view mirror perfect 20/20 vision indeed it was less than 60,0000, not counting repairs ;>) By and large all tests are at least quorum 2, the lucky who manage to get 20 'validated' as the rule, not completed, off a single machine during a beta are few and far between. In this case them being so short and not many seemingly expecting this just before the long outage, the MMing also helped to see a number of sets come through without wingman... 3 machines, 1 was powered up for this event, and exactly 10 pages completed, 150. Beta Hog heaven, even got 40+ after the upgrade resume. ![]() (150 for barely 2.5 days adding to the contribution tally) |
